Apollos knew the Scriptures and spoke with eloquence, yet he still needed to understand more perfectly the way of God. Only when Christ Himself stands at the centre does knowledge become complete. True maturity in the knowledge of Scripture leads to a Christ-centred eloquence, for in Him “are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
